About Viggo
Air cargo handling is the root of Viggo. In the 1970’s Expeditiebedrijf Wassing commenced with this activity. Currently the air cargo activities are performed by Viggo Eindhoven. Gradually, due to the exponential growth of Low Cost Carriers,the core business shifted to airport services at Eindhoven Airport andfuture Lelystad Airport. The knowledge and experience we have gained are available to other airport operators and ground handlers through our consultancy branch.
To date, Viggo has been the sole ground handler at Eindhoven Airport for 45 years. Our broad orientation, the ability to bridge boundaries and especially our +550 employees, help our clients to become the best version of themselves. We provide full-service solutions in ground handling and cargo. Close collaboration with our clients and a holistic approach featuring the collection and analysis and understandable interpretation of big data, allow us to improve our processes. This results in smart integration of processes within the value chain, establishing highly efficient, controlled airport operations.
In 2016 Viggo was contracted by Lelystad Airport. With Asito and G4S as partners, we will be responsible to provide all airport services at Lelystad Airport for the next 10 years. Our expansion to Lelystad Airport proves the effectiveness of our approach and will allow us to broaden our footprint in the Dutch airport services industry.
Our way of working is appraised in The Netherlands and far beyond. Therefore, we have executed a variety of consultancy jobs as knowledge partner in the airport services industry. Viggo staff is often invited to speak at conferences,universities or management inspiration days. The distinctiveness of our consultancy work is that we understand all the aspects we discuss, since we also execute it. With 45 years of experience as the main airport services provider at Eindhoven Airport, as of the 1st of April 2021 the groundhandler for Transavia at Schiphol Airport and service provider at Lelystad Airport in the near future, Viggo is a family-owned business with a long history and strives to expand its legacy by ensuring customer satisfaction and effective controlled processes.
